Become a Volunteer

Become a Volunteer

Individuals, organizations, and congregations needed!

Step 1: Express Interest in Volunteering. Use the Contact Form below.

Step 2: Attend Family Promise’s Online Training (below). After training completion, you’ll meet with a staff person and fill out an application and confidentiality form (these help further identify areas you’re interested in volunteering and how they align with the organization’s needs).

Step 3: Engage & Volunteer: enjoy your time volunteering! Volunteer opportunities are listed here.

Step 4: Education & Advocacy. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to further educate themselves and their community about anti-racism, systemic poverty, and housing advocacy. FPGROC provides regular “equity moments” through our newsletter and social media. And a diversity, equity, inclusion, and access training module will be available in early 2022 through Coassemble, our new online training platform.

Enter your email to get started, then your First and Last Name and a password you’ll remember. FPGROC will be notified when you log in and when you complete each course.

Our new training platform can be accessed online 24/7 and you can complete the training courses via your computer, tablet, or cell phone. Please note, the platform allows you to stop or pause your training at any point and then quickly resume the training module you were on.

The final component of FPGROC’s Volunteer Training is a localized component, either in-person or on Zoom, with our Manager of Development & Community Engagement. For the time being, these are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
